BASAR Co. has been formed in 1978 by the merger of "Aydin Plastik A.S." and "Modes A.S.", and started to operate under the name of "BASAR Ambalaj A.S." legally in 1980.

By time and changing operational needs, BASAR has been operated in different locations and currently operating in its own facilities located in European side of Istanbul which occupies 5.000 m2 production area.

In its first years, BASAR has served to companies from pharmaceuticals and food industry with the production of thermoformed trays and packaging materials. With changing supply preferences of companies and increasing market demand, BASAR has decided to channelize its experiences in thermoforming to the production of thermoformed plastic displays.

Accordingly to developments and liberalization in Turkish economy, retail industry in Turkey has experienced booming demand in 80s. Number of multi-national companies has been entered to Turkish market and created huge demand for POS displays / promotional items during their efforts to enter into as much sales points as possible.

In 90s, BASAR has established its metal and wooden departments and became able to offer full service solutions to its customers. Now BASAR is in a position to offer its clients perfect combination of experience and flexible production possibilities.
